Kendolyn Smith, Pharm.D, MPH is professionally trained and licensed pharmacist. Dr. Smith is on faculty as an assistant professor at Clayton State University in the Department of Healthcare Management and serves as an adjunct faculty member in the master of public health program at Mercer University. Dr. Smith’s career has included leadership within a top tier pharmaceutical company, AstraZeneca, focused on cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and hypertensive medications. In addition to industry expertise, she has worked as a pharmacist in geriatric and academic settings and is a certified immunizing pharmacist, providing vaccinations for appropriate patient populations according to state guidelines.
She is an advocate for medication safety, compliance, appropriate therapy, public health literacy and overall medication management services to improve the cost, quality, and access to care. Dr. Smith has partnered with organizations providing Medication Therapy Management Services (MTM) and is trained to facilitate positive therapeutic and economic outcomes, drug safety and alternate medication recommendations. She completed a Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Creighton University Medical Center School of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions, a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management at the Emory University Rollins School of Public Health and an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia.
