Lifestyle expert and cultural trend-spotter, Tamera D. Gayden, has had many careers and is not afraid to make changes where changes are needed. She has pursued everything that has interested her in life, and there is no door of opportunity she has not walked through. One of her major goals is to help others to live a full life while fulfilling their dreams.
After graduating from Oakwood University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, she began her career as a medical technologist for nine years. She later came up with the brilliant idea to follow a dream and quit her job, move to Los Angeles, and pursue a second degree in visual communication with an emphasis in event management at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise. After graduation, she was fortunate to work as an event planner contractor for celebrity event producer D. R. Valentine & Associates. She loved this position but longed to move back to the East Coast. Currently, she resides in Washington, DC and is a meeting manager for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. In her spare time, she likes to jog, design accessories, vintage shop, travel, perform community service and mentor youth.
